Clean Harbors has once again been named as a “Top Company for Women to Work For in Transportation.”

This was the sixth consecutive year the company has earned the honor, which was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 29 by “Redefining the Road” magazine, the official publication of the Women in Trucking Association.

In 2018, WIT created the award to promote the accomplishments of companies that are focused on the employment of women in the trucking industry.

“I am incredibly proud that Clean Harbors has been recognized for the sixth consecutive year as a Top Company for Women to Work for in Transportation,” said Mountain District VP and WAVES ERG Executive Sponsor Jamie Creekmore. “This honor reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a workplace where team members are valued, supported, and empowered to lead. Through WAVES and other company-wide initiatives, we’re advancing a culture of inclusion, one that creates opportunities and enables all team members to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential at every stage of their careers.”

There are several key features that distinguish companies recognized on the list, including a corporate culture that fosters gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities and career advancement opportunities.

Company nominations are evaluated and validated by an industry-wide vote involving more than 21,000 professionals in transportation, including executive management, operations, safety, HR/talent management executives, and professional drivers.

Clean Harbors and fellow honorees will be highlighted in the next edition of Redefining the Road magazine. Honorees will also be recognized during a special recognition program to take place Nov. 9 at the 2025 Accelerate! Conference in Dallas, Texas.

"Our partnership with Women in Trucking reflects Clean Harbors’ deep commitment to advancing women in the transportation industry,” said Culture and Engagement Manager Angelika Mangino. “We are honored to support and encourage the employment of women, while proudly recognizing their accomplishments, leadership, and the vital contributions they make every day. Working directly with Women in Trucking has profoundly amplified the impact of our Employee Resource Groups. WAVES continues to foster a culture of diversity and inclusion, and this partnership strengthens our mission to uplift and empower women across the industry."
