Clean Harbors releases supplemental report on sustainability efforts

Sustainability Supplement

Clean Harbors today published its 2023 sustainability supplement, intended as a companion to the company’s most recent sustainability report released in 2022. The supplement further emphasizes how Clean Harbors’ sustainability efforts have a positive impact on the environment, its customers and the communities it serves.

The sustainability supplement marks the company’s third public sustainability disclosure, following the inaugural report in 2021 and last year’s report. The supplement reflects fiscal year 2022 and provides a data-driven disclosure around the sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of the business.

“We know that our customers and all stakeholders expect data transparency,” said Sustainability Manager Dan Liwicki. “As yet another step in our sustainability journey, we continue to establish a consistent annual cadence on reporting and have expanded our disclosure framework, reflecting a commitment to achieving a greater field of vision around our sustainability efforts and impacts.”

The supplement also highlights progress toward the company’s 2030 sustainability goals and benchmarks, as shown here:
