Altair Landfill Facility

The Altair facility is located in south central Texas and services approximately 17 counties. It is a Subtitle D landfill permitted to accept Class 2 and Class 3 non-hazardous industrial waste and municipal solid waste (MSW). This Colorado county landfill is a Type 1 municipal landfill operated by Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc., under the Texas Commission on Environmental Equality. The site has 157.2 (permitted) acres located 2 miles north of Altair and 8 miles south of Columbus, Texas.
