The Class A Driver for Technical Services is responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a generator/facility to a Clean Harbors facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations. You will driver a combination of vehicles, primarily vans and trailers. You will be responsible for ensuring that the proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste adheres to weight and ensuring the proper utilization of company equipment. In addition you will comply with company policies & procedures, DOT, HAZMAT and RCRA requirements/regulations. You will also be responsible for maintaining daily logs, timesheets, expenses reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports. A minimum of 12 months of experience hauling hazardous materials with Hazmat and Tank Endorsements and a clean driving record is required. You must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Hazwoper training is a plus. Overnight travel is required. The Refinery Vertical Market Account Manager reports directly to the Refinery Market Sales Manager and is responsible for the increase or maintenance of a required minimum base of revenues and number of customers within an assigned industry vertical. Responsible for revenue growth within a specific vertical. Revenue growth must be aggressive and consistent from year to year. Directly responsible for meeting and exceeding the revenue expectations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Must be a “Subject Matter Expert” for the vertical market and customers within the vertical. Knowledge includes but is not limited to vertical industry knowledge, customer requirements, relevant line of business capabilities, an in-depth understanding of the competitors and their capabilities, and opportunities for new market and customer development. Knowledge includes but is not limited to vertical industry knowledge, customer requirements, relevant line of business capabilities, an in-depth understanding of the competitors and their capabilities, and opportunities for new market and customer development. Establishes an acute knowledge of competitive pricing, market rates to ensure an acceptable win rate at acceptable margins. Responsible for the successful management of daily lab pack jobs, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections, large projects/job and assists the CleanPack Coordinator in administering on-the-job training for new hires. Responsible for the safe and compliant execution of large lab pack jobs/projects nationally. Responsible for the site training of new hires, mentoring and providing input for performance reviews for those employees assigned. High School diploma or equivalency required B.S. /B.A. degree or related experience (preferred) Reactive chemical certification 40 Hour OSHA Training 3-4 years lab pack experience. Serves as Project Manager for Environmental Construction and Technical Services group and manages and oversees small to midsize, technically complex projects involving waste site clean up and construction, building and equipment decontamination and demolition prepare proposals, including cost estimates and work scopes and schedules. BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines and a minimum of 5 years experience in environmental, remediation or site construction is preferred.
You will be perform a variety of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean up, site remediation, equipment and facility decontamination and emergency response. A majority of the work is performed in confined space utilizing high pressure water blasting equipment up to 40,000 PSI. The individual must be willing to work at a variety of customer sites and be available to respond to emergency response calls during off-hours. You must be able to wear Personal Protection Equipment including respirators and full protective suits. Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. A high school diploma and one - two years experience in a construction related field is preferred. A Hazwoper certificate is a plus. You must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record. Candidate must have the ability to travel overnight when needed. As a Clean Pack Chemist you will be responsible for handling, packing, transportation and disposal of hazardous laboratory chemicals and wastes, while adhering to environmental regulations. You will assist customers with laboratory moves and facility closures. In conjunction with local community officials, you will participate in Household Hazardous Waste Days collecting and preparing for disposal residential hazardous waste. You will experience a wide variety of field sites and be responsible for building superior customer service through professionalism, safety, and innovative solutions. This is a blue-collar chemist position not a research and development or a lab position. A Degree in Chemistry/Environmental Science or equivalent experience is preferred. The successful candidate will have superior communication and the desire for advancement. Must have the ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License after six months in position. Knowledge of DOT regulations, disposal options, EPA waste codes, manifesting and LDR regulations preferred. Clean driving record required. Occasional overnight travel is possible.
