Providing Comprehensive Environmental Services for North America
Clean Harbors PCB Disposal Services handle all types of PCB wastes (polychlorinated biphenyl) including transformers, capacitors, ballasts and assorted liquids and solids. Depending on regulations and customer preferences, PCB materials can be recycled, incinerated, treated or landfilled.
Based on recent U.S. EPA findings, many buildings, including schools, built and/or renovated in the 1950s through the 1970s have caulk that contains PCBs. The caulk was used to seal gaps to make windows, door frames, masonry and joints in buildings and other structures watertight or airtight. Clean Harbors has the capabilities and experience to remove and dispose of any caulking material containing PCBs.
Many Clean Harbors waste management facilities are permitted for storage, consolidation and transfer of PCB waste. These facilities, along with our PCB disposal sites providing EPA approved alternative PCB disposal methods, make Clean Harbors the only full service PCB disposal company in the U.S.
With over two decades of PCB disposal experience, Clean Harbors understands out-of-service date issues, PCB disposal tracking requirements, and the allowable PCB disposal options.
Clean Harbors offers a dedicated oil testing and analysis facility. All oils are tested and analyzed according to stringent ASTM and EPA methods and specifications. Accuracy is our standard and while a 5-day sample turnaround is typical, we offer a 24-hour rush analysis upon request.
