Trailer Mounted Blast Deflection Unit is an ATF Type II explosive magazine modified for remote access of potentially explosive or unstable material. Nitrogen-driven, and fully bonded and grounded, it has side over-pressure vents, an internal fire suppression system, ergonomic slide tray with spill containment and internal video capabilities.

Portable Remote Opener with Bomb Blanket and Safety Circle can be rapidly mobilized for time-sensitive situations. Ballistic protection is provided by a Kevlar® and fire resistant coated bomb suppression blanket capable of capturing fragments traveling up to 2,150 ft./second.

Custom Designed Remote Drum Opener is a pneumatically-driven device designed to remove the bung or to penetrate the container’s lid.  It can accommodate the remote opening of containers ranging from 5 to 85 gallons. A Nitrogen-driven mixing device is added for the addition of inhibitors or stabilizers.

ATF Type III Blasters Daybox is utilized for the movement of all potentially reactive materials from their storage locations to the work zone. The unit is constructed of 1/8 inch thick aluminum, is coal tar line (to aid in the dissipation of static electricity), and is padded inside to add cushioning to the materials during movement.

Personal Protective Equipment

Fire Proximity Suits protect the wearer from high temperatures and are used when managing peroxide formers or other deflagration hazards.

Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Protective Search Suits protect the wearer in case of proximity explosive detonation.   Clean Harbors utilizes these suits when working with dried picric acid or other potential detonation hazards.

Riot Helmet / Kevlar® Vest and NOMEX® Coveralls are our standard selection for PPE. This ensemble is donned for all situations not requiring deflagration or detonation protection.
