Cylinders that are leaking, bulging, fire damaged, dented, excessively corroded, contain attachments, or have non-operable valves, are restricted from transportation per 49CFR and TDG regulations and carry substantial fines for violations.  Managing these cylinders requires specialized equipment and proven methodologies to ensure the highest degree of health and safety.  Clean Harbors cylinder specialists will arrive on-site to perform a complete evaluation of the site and the cylinders prior to commencement of all work-related activities.

Clean Harbors utilizes a variety of mobile engineering controls to ensure non-DOT or non-TDG inventories are managed safely and in a timely manner.  Equipment options include: gas flares (liquid/vapor phase), high flow /high vacuum scrubbers, cylinder tapping devices, remote tapping units, remote valve openers/manifolds, high and low pressure overpacks, and process reactors.
