Cylinder & Compressed Gas Management

Clean Harbors Cylinder and Compressed Gas Management Services provide safe and cost-effective on-site management and off-site disposal of cylinders and compressed gases, from the removal of a single lecture bottle to large scale multi-phase cylinder remediation projects.

Each cylinder brought into the Clean Harbors network is evaluated by either our CleanPack® chemists or cylinder specialists.  This evaluation is the first and most important step in removing waste or recyclable cylinders from our customer’s site.  It ensures that every cylinder meets the criteria of a DOT or TDG transportable package and will move smoothly through plant receiving to final disposal.

For cylinders that are leaking, damaged, contain unknown material, or are inherently unstable and can not be safely shipped, Clean Harbors can mobilize a team of cylinder specialists to the location.  These specialists will assess the situation and identify, analyze, overpack, transfer, or stabilize the material, depending upon what the unique situation requires.
