Rapid Response Time, Containment and Clean Up

Varying by the response, spills typically can be contained within the first few hours, with minimal remediation within the next 48 hours. Working under all the guidelines of local, state, provincial, and federal agencies, Clean Harbors will perform containment and begin cleanup. 

Waste for off-site disposal is packaged and prepared for shipment by Clean Harbors to an approved waste treatment and disposal facility, most often that day. Clean Harbors can also provide long-term remediation or containment maintenance.

Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO)

Under the U.S. Coast Guard’s (OSRO) Classification Program, Clean Harbors holds Captain of the Port ratings for facilities and vessels in over 40 ports. Our abilities include the deployment of hard boom and recovery of product on land and water. We can also store recovered product.
