Container Management

Clean Harbors has thousands of containers including standard open and hard top roll offs and intermodals, specialized vacuum containers, and dewatering boxes and frac tanks to service the steel and primary metals industry.  Whether for temporary storage or off-site disposal during normal operations, or for use during a mill or plant turnaround, Clean Harbors can supply the right container for your needs. For example, we maintain a fleet of end-dump containers for large bulk transportation and disposal requirements of electric arc furnace dust (EAF Dust, K061), which will reduce trips and allow for volume/tonnage maximization.

Clean Harbors’ integrated container management program provides complete transportation and logistics services moving containers on and off site, in-plant and to the end disposal facility.  Our container tracking system provides the most advanced tracking from initial deployment, through all container movements within a customer’s location, and then on to the return of the empty container after it has been processed at a disposal facility.

The system provides a complete view of every container including the container’s current location within a plant, its current status (empty, full, out-of-service) and its dedicated service type.  The web based application integrates the information about a container with other key Clean Harbors systems such as order management, logistics, waste management, invoicing and reporting.
