Mercury Disposal

Medical containing devices that contain mercury are safely managed by Clean Harbors. Common mercury containing devices include patient care thermometers, sphygmomanometers, batteries, and gastro-intestinal devices, including mercury containing compounds used in preservatives, fixatives and several reagents.

Clean Harbors collects and packages mercury for retort or for disposal.  We also provide emergency response services in the event of a mercury spill.
