Clean Harbors formed a planning and response team that is tasked with becoming subject matter experts and developing our strategy and preparedness should an outbreak occur. This team includes senior management, health and safety personnel, key field operations personnel with emergency response experience, and our corporate medical consultant. Other key personnel and outside resources are added as necessary.
Our goals are to provide information on personal and family practices that will assist our employees in preventing infection, minimizing contamination and identifying emergency procedures, and to develop a contingency plan to remain operational if such a situation should occur. Clean Harbors would be an integral and necessary part of the government's response to such an emergency.
Goal: To establish an ongoing communication plan to our employees and their families and to our customers. All avian influenza planning updates are expected to be posted on the Company website.
Goal: To determine the level and type of support offered by Clean Harbors for our employees and their families. This team focuses on the various human resource issues associated with disaster scenario planning.
Goal: To maintain a level of business integrity throughout the pandemic and to assure business continuity to our customers. The Company Preparedness Plan extends to the issues associated with levels of support from our vendors and suppliers.
Goal: To establish operating procedures to contain, control and eradicate the influenza. Clean Harbors is an emergency response company and is proactively preparing to respond to meet our internal needs as well as respond to both commercial and government customers.
